Ride with Walt in Ohio
Cincinnati & Southwest Ohio - Fall Season
During the Fall Season, Walt works independently out of
Three Ridge Farm, east of Cincinnati, Ohio. These are some of the state
parks we can visit:
| Paint
Creek State Park
Near Hillsboro, Ohio, this park is a nice drive from Cincinnati,
about an hour east on Route 50 from Milford (I-275). The bridle
trails here are some of the best maintained in Southwest Ohio. The
trails are mowed in most areas and wind around the ravines and hills
surrounding Paint Creek Lake. Several spectcular views of the lake
are available. These trails consist of several loops originating
from the horse camp so that you can take a 1, 2, or 3-hour loop
and come back to your vehicle for a lunch or snack, and then go
out again on a different loop. Find more information here.

Caesar
Creek State Park
Approximately 45 miles north of Cincinnati, Caesars Creek offers
31 miles of bridle trails. Trails go through wooded ravines and
meadows along the northwest side of the lake. 30 horsemen campsites
are available for overnighters. More information about the park
is available through the Ohio State Parks web
site.
East Fork Lake State Park
55 miles of bridle trails traverse the gently rolling hills around
East Fork Lake. A 32 mile (8 hr) perimeter trail and several shorter
1 and 2 hour trails are available. A horsemen's camping area is
also available for overnight stays. More information on the park
can be seen on the state of Ohio web
page. East Fork Park is 20 minutes from Three Ridge farm.
